Over the summer, Behrang Tahamtani, Cheyanne McDaniel, and William Cookman created video tutorials to connect students with library technology (printing, computers, headphones), online resources (databases, Library Chat, eBooks), and study spaces (whiteboards, privacy screens, study rooms). Our patrons can find narrated how-to-do-it guides on YouTube and even Canvas when supplied by instructors. In particular, the video guides for Speedy Search help students new to academic research at Midland College. Watching the library's channel on a smart TV reveals exclusive library art by Valeria Guillen. If you do not know how to check out a resource with our circulation staff, this video may be useful. Of course, we encourage anyone to visit, call, or Library Chat with us for reference assistance. Faculty can request library instruction through the Library Instructional Request form on the library's webpage.

Staff at the circulation desk often answer questions and direct students to important places on campus. Throughout the fall semester, circulation staff adjusted how the library interacts with students at Midland College. We organized new library programs like find-a-friend speed friending, pumpkin painting, murder mystery library instruction, and story telling events. Xsenia Salmon unveiled the library's newly organized community resource table with information about MC programs, Texas universities, and general resources to help people living in the local community. The community resource table is also an excellent way to find informative zines about library resources as well as 3D printed keychains, bookmarks, and games.
